Public Relations Director – YWCA of Wake County
In the mid-1980s, directed all public relations and communications activities of this non-profit that boasted a full fitness facility, wellness programs for adults and children, summer day camp, and special events. Created, researched, interviewed for and wrote all copy for press releases, feature stories, fliers, ads, and newsletters; produced weekly radio features; organized, supported, and publicized special events; was a regular on TV news programs; and made regular presentations for both the YW and United Way of Wake County.
